Miles Regis Joins Intel and Vice for 3D Art Exhibition at Coachella 2011
Los Angeles , CA; On the heels of a resounding debut at January's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Miles Regis and creative partner, Brian Quandt continue their 3D collaboration with Intel at this year's Coachella Music Festival, April 15-17.
In January of 2011, with the corporate support of Intel and Adobe, The 3D Art Project made its debut exhibiting at CES inside the famed Intel Booth. Listed as one of the top 5 uses of 3D at CES by the International Business Times, the project is a one-of-a-kind artistic collaboration using original works from renowned artist Miles Regis and technology visionary, Brian Quandt, Utilizing leading-edge technologies including 2D-3D conversion, auto-stereoscopic viewing and more, the 3D Art Project offers viewers a never-before seen art experience. As a viewer sees the layers within the paintings at varying depths in 3D, he/she is also witnessing the chronological and emotional progression of the artwork as it was being made with the beginning of the painting furthest from the viewer, and each additional layer on planes closer to the viewer.
For the Coachella Valley Music Festival and its 200,000, attendees, Miles and Brian will be creating a new piece entitled, 'The Music Peace' The work will serve as the kick-off for an international tour with the Creators Project, a collaborative effort between Intel and Vice, celebrating art, music, and culture. The tour will hit major festivals in cities around the world including Beijing, Seoul, Lyon, Paris, Sao Paolo, and New York. "Working with Intel and the Creators Project has been an exciting journey for me, creatively, and I am looking forward to how far we can take the 3D work and give people an inspiring, creative experience" says Regis.
Miles and Brian will also be leading the development of new works with other artists selected as participants in the Creator's Project. The development of the work includes technology and equipment support from Intel, Adobe, and glasses-free 3D screen maker, Alioscopy.

Edition One Hundred launches on June 30, 2010, with I LOVE LA, a month-long exhibition curated by founder Cat Jimenez celebrating the influence of the Los Angeles art scene on its denizens and its impact around the globe. Fusing high and low, young and old, independent and commercial cultures, I LOVE LA features local artists from the famous to the unknown including B+, Augustine Kofie, Estevan Oriol, Miles Regis, Katie Shapiro, and Tasya van Ree. Ms. Jimenez brings them together to reveal the power of their imagination as it is made manifest for the pleasure of art collecting.
Each artist’s work is printed in an exclusive edition of 100, and each print sells for $100. All prints are signed by the artist, come with a certificate of authenticity, and are made exclusively on Mohawk paper unless otherwise indicated.
I LOVE LA is about the artists who chose LA, who create in LA and who help to inspire Angelenos and the world. These artists belong to their own respective communities. In bringing them together under Edition One Hundred, they share another community, the first "class" of Edition One Hundred artists.
